Aspire Trials.
We would like to welcome any NEW athletes wishing to secure a place in our programme from September 2023 to come along to our open matchplay dates. Coaches will be able to look at your abilities and consider you for a place on the programme, you will be able to play with existing athletes and we can discuss which opportunities and group level could possibly suit your current ability within the Aspire performance programme.

When:
11th July 6:30-8:30pm – School year 6, 7 & 8 ONLY athletes as of September 2023
18th July 6:30 -8:30pm – School year 9 & Upwards as of September 2023.
All warm up courts are located outdoors, with 1 indoor court for matches.
Arrangements can be made to allow parents to view from the outdoor court areas however we are under restrictions from site management and we reserve the right to close access should they request this.
Aspire Trials
Athletes that are successful may also choose to do their respective county and or franchise programmes as well. As each athlete is individual the Aspire coaches as well as their club coaches will help guide them in this decision to make sure they do what’s best for them.
Athletes in Aspire will be encouraged at appropriate times to trial for franchise academies.
What to expect on trial day? – NEW TRIALISTS ONLY
All athletes will be notified of their outcome by the end of July and invited to further sessions planned in August / September 2023. Please see our pre-season performance programme open to all athletes.
Cost for trials will be £10 – payable in cash on the day.
Please wear NON marking indoor trainers, you will be required to warm up outdoors (weather permitting) so a change of trainers is advised but not essential.
Preferably please wear white top and dark shorts/skirt– no club, school, region identity. Hoodie for outdoor warm up required. Nails short and NO jewellery, fitness trackers etc no tape over ears – everything must be removed.
Bring drinks and snacks and there will be no onsite facilities to fill water bottles.
Match duration will be dependent on numbers but everyone will play at least 3 times, and at least once in their 1st choice position others will be in 2nd or 3rd choice position but no guarantee to play all 3 positions.
Match times and players will be posted on the day and players will be called for warm up 10 mins before their game. It is players responsibility to be available for coach led warm up and ready to play on time for their game.
